Pre-Vehicle Testing Assessment

To be able to become a MOT Tester, a technician needs to have four years’ experience and a Level 3 qualification. This product is for Motor Vehicle Technicians who have the experience required to work competently but do not hold a qualification/accreditation scheme to prove it. 

Level 2 MOT Award in Classes 4 & 7

This Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved qualification covers safe working practices and working relationships in vehicle testing centres, managing your own professional development, carrying out pre-checks and carrying out a full vehicle test.

Anyone who wants to become a qualified MOT tester will be required to successfully complete this qualification.

Level 3 MOT Managers

This Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved qualification covers managing legislative and compliance requirements of a vehicle test centre, managing the service offered to customers, developing staff and how to manage Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) test centre quality audits.

Level 2 & 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

The qualifications are aimed at learners aged 16+ and are for anyone developing a career in the motor industry. These practical qualifications allow the student to demonstrate on the job skills in the students’ own workplace, showing how they meet the national standards for automotive workers.

Level 1 – 4 Hybrid / EV

Hybrid/EV Courses cover the following:

  • To work safely on or near electric vehicles.
  • Safely isolate and re-energise an electric vehicle.
  • Removal and replacement of components on electric vehicle systems.
  • Safely diagnose and rectify high voltage system faults.
